Jale from the Boat
Jale Beach is the most lively northbound swim stop on the standard Himara coastline tour. About 12 km north of Himara by sea, the bay opens with turquoise water and a pebble shoreline lined with beach clubs (notably Favela Beach Club). It's the youngest, partyest stop on the tour — and that's its appeal or its drawback depending on your group.
Standard swim allocation: 20–30 minutes. The boat anchors offshore.
Why It's on the Itinerary
Jale is positioned between the calmer Livadhi/Aquarium stops to the south and the dramatic Pirate's Cave / Gjipe Canyon stops to the north. It breaks up the long cliff stretch with a livelier atmosphere — beach clubs visible onshore, music sometimes audible from the boat, swimmers in and out of the water.
| Tour | Jale treatment |
|---|---|
| Pirate's Cave half-day | Mid-tour swim stop |
| Himara Coastline tour | Standard stop |
| Grama Bay full-day | Pass-through or brief stop |
Boat Angle vs. Car Angle
Most road visitors arrive at the south or central section of Jale's beachfront and see one slice of the bay. From the boat, you see the entire crescent: pebble shoreline, beach clubs lining the back, rocky points framing each end, turquoise water. The aerial angle photographs particularly well from offshore.
If your priority is the beach club / party experience, the boat stop is too short — go overland for a half-day. If your priority is the visual and a quick swim, the boat angle is the better way to see Jale in 20 minutes.
