Llamani from the Boat
Llamani Beach is the quiet rocky-bottom swim stop on the southbound coastline tour, about 3.5 km south of Himara by sea. The bay is deep, surrounded by rocky cliffs, and noticeably less busy than the headline beaches on either the northern or southern routes.
Standard swim allocation: 20 minutes. The boat anchors in deep water; swimmers reach the pebble shoreline.
Why It's on the Tour
Llamani is positioned between Filikuri and Porto Palermo — it breaks up the southern coastline run with a secluded swim stop. The bay's deep water makes it suitable for confident swimmers; the rocky bottom makes it less suitable for casual paddling.
What the Stop Is Like
- Boat anchors offshore in deep water
- Swim ashore (or stay near the boat for snorkel)
- The seabed is covered with large stones — water shoes essential
- Cliff scenery on three sides
- Quiet — most car traffic doesn't reach this far down the SH8
Boat vs. Overland
Llamani is reachable by car (paved road then gravel), but the overland approach gives you only one angle of the bay. From the boat, you see the full cove geometry and can swim from deep water rather than wading in over the stones.
