Pentru ce mâncăruri e cunoscută Himara?

Bucătăria din Himara se bazează pe Marea Ionică și pe moștenirea greacă a zonei: pește și fructe de mare proaspete, la grătar sau prăjite, preparate cu influențe grecești precum souvlaki, gyros și carne la grătar, plus clasice albaneze și mediteraneene. De-a lungul coastei găsești și pizza foarte bună coaptă pe lemne sau napoletană, dar și paste italiene. Majoritatea meniurilor se construiesc în jurul a ceea ce s-a pescuit în dimineața respectivă.

Restaurantele din Himara acceptă card sau am nevoie de numerar?

Ia numerar. Albania funcționează în mare parte cu lek (circa 100 ALL pentru 1 €), iar multe taverne mai mici, localuri de pe plajă și cafenele acceptă doar numerar sau îl preferă, chiar dacă localurile mai mari și mai scumpe acceptă tot mai des cardul. Există bancomate în orașul Himara, dar ține la tine destui lek pentru o masă. POS-urile pot rămâne offline când cade semnalul.

Cât costă o masă în Himara?

Raportat la standardele vest-europene, prețurile sunt încă bune. O masă într-o tavernă simplă sau o pizza costă cam 8–15 € de persoană, în timp ce o cină cu pește proaspăt la un restaurant de pe malul mării costă mai mult. Peștele se vinde de obicei la kilogram, așa că verifică greutatea și prețul înainte să comanzi. Cei cu buget redus se descurcă cu circa 30–50 € pe zi, totul inclus; o cafea și un produs de patiserie costă doi-trei euro.

Ar trebui să rezerv masa din timp?

La majoritatea tavernelor simple poți intra direct. În iulie și august, localurile populare de pe malul mării și cele cu note mari se umplu la orele de vârf ale cinei, așa că merită să rezervi cu o zi înainte sau să ajungi devreme, înainte de ora 20:00. În afara sezonului de vârf, rezervarea e rareori necesară.

Unde sunt cele mai bune restaurante din Himara?

Cea mai mare concentrare e de-a lungul falezei din oraș și pe malul mării din Spile, unde tavernele, pizzeriile și cafenelele stau una lângă alta. Există și localuri bine cotate în orașul vechi și altele răsfirate spre sud, către Qeparo, de-a lungul drumului de coastă SH8.
