Coffee Bar & Lounge · Old Town, Himarë

A New York skyline at the foot of Himarë castle

Coffee from eight in the morning, the grill until midnight, in an old stone house on the SH8 below the old town.

On the main road

The first table on the way down from the castle

Bar 300 is a limewashed stone house on the SH8 where the road runs beneath Himarë’s old town. The castle walls are about 180 metres up the hill, so it is where the walk back down ends; the seafront at Spile is a short drive below.

Inside, the walls are the reason to come in out of the sun: a painted Manhattan behind the bar, Liberty across the lounge, and a ceiling papered with playing cards.

Getting here

The old town is the view from the window

Coming down from the castle on foot, the bar is on the main road directly below, opposite the way up into the old town. Driving, take the SH8 up the hill from Himarë; it is right on the road, with the terrace out front.

Look for the stone house with blue window frames and a rust-red 300 on the wall above the door.
