Himarë · Vlorë County

The port.

The seafront at Himarë runs west along the water and finishes at the harbour. The hotel is the last address on it — the quay below, the moorings off it, the wooded headland beyond, and the bay open in front.

On foot

Everything is along the front.

  • 100 mThe Himarë town beach
  • 540 mThe centre of Himarë
  • 960 mLivadhi beach
  • 2.1 kmHimarë Castle, on the ridge

The town beach starts about a hundred metres east along the front, and the shops, cafés and tavernas of Himarë sit behind it. Livadhi, the long pebble beach, is on the other side of town, and the castle stands on the ridge above everything.

Distances are straight-line from the hotel, so allow a little more on foot. The two beaches are measured to their nearest edge, the town and the castle to the point the map marks.

Arriving

Down off the SH8.

The coastal highway runs the length of the Albanian Riviera between Vlorë and Sarandë, and it comes down off the pass and through Himarë rather than past it. Leave it for the water and follow the front west; the road down to the harbour is Rruga 2 Dhjetori, and the hotel is at the end of it.

Transfers can be arranged in advance and are charged separately — write to book@reaboutiquehotel.com or call +355 69 935 6181 with your flight and arrival time.
