Balconies over the harbour.

Rea stands at the west end of the Himarë seafront, where the front runs out into the port. Every room opens onto a balcony over the harbour, and breakfast is cooked to order on the terrace facing it.

The port

Himarë’s seafront runs west along the water and stops at the harbour. That is where the hotel is: the moorings in front of the balconies, the quay under them, the wooded headland to the west, and the whole bay open beyond.

Doubles with a balcony

An extra-large double, a desk, a fridge and a kettle, a walk-in rainfall shower, and a balcony with seating on the water side. The glass runs back so the room and the balcony read as one space.

The larger rooms

More floor, a freestanding bath set to face the sea, and floor-to-ceiling glass onto a balcony wide enough to sit out on properly rather than perch.

The sea-view suite

Fifty-five square metres: a separate living room with a couch and a television, a sleeping area with a king-size bed, and a private terrace with a jacuzzi at the rail above the harbour.

Breakfast is ordered from a menu rather than laid out as a buffet, and it is served on the sea-view terrace — eggs done how you want them, toast, pancakes, porridge, and more than one kind of milk for the coffee.
