Krorëza has no road: no turn-off, no car park, no bus that drops within sight of it. What it does have is white sand, smooth pebbles and a line of rocks that chops the shoreline into a series of small private bays. Saranda is closer and cheaper because the cove is on its side of the coast. The Himara long-haul is a different proposition: a full day of coastline, with a 30–45 minute swim stop rather than an afternoon on the sand. Walking in from Lukovë
There is a land route, and the mapped ground now settles what used to be a three-way disagreement across this site. OpenStreetMap carries an unpaved footpath passing within about 220 m of the shore, plus a path of roughly 3.7 km running north toward Lukovë (Overpass query around 39.9368, 19.9366, run 20 September 2026). No road of any class reaches the cove. The beach record's "roughly 5 km of coastal walking from Lukovë, 1.5 to 2 hours" is consistent with that; the older claims that the cove is strictly boat-only, or that the ground is impassable, are not.
What the path is not is a marked trail. It has no signage, no maintenance, no water and no shade, and nobody should commit to two hours of coastal walking in August heat on the strength of a line on a map. If the hike is your plan, treat Lukova village as the base, start from the main beach below it, go early, carry far more water than the distance suggests, and have the sense to turn back. If that sounds like too many conditions, take the boat.
