O plaży Manastiri Beach (Monastery Beach)

Manastiri, "Monastery Beach", named for the 14th-century Monastery of St. George on Dema hill, is where Saranda regulars go when the town beaches get too busy. It's a small cove a short way south of the centre, trading the convenience of the central seafront for clearer water and a calmer scene. Not a secret and not deserted, but a noticeable step down in crowds and up in setting from the concrete-backed town beaches.

6.5–8 km south of Saranda on the SH81, so a car, a taxi or the Butrint minibus (150–250 ALL, roughly every 30 minutes 08:00–18:30, ask for the Manastiri i Shën Gjergjit stop) rather than a walk from the promenade. Parking is limited in peak season. Access is contested: TripAdvisor lists the beach as permanently closed and visitors since 2024 report the shore fenced behind a resort development, while other recent reviews describe normal visits — check locally before driving out.

Udogodnienia

Some seasonal sunbeds and a beach bar on a modest scale; limited compared with Saranda's central beaches, and thin outside July–August.
