What Astro does differently
Himara's breakfast scene falls mostly into two camps: traditional Albanian cafes serving espresso and byrek, or hotel buffets with generic continental spreads. Astro occupies a different space, a written breakfast card with composed plates on it, which is still uncommon on this stretch of coast.
The card borrows from international brunch culture (a sourdough-and-avocado bowl, granola bowls, French toast, waffles) and prints "Ingredients sourced from local farmers" along its foot. The other half of the business is the bar: the room carries a red COCTELERIA neon and a full back bar, so you can order a cocktail alongside your eggs without getting a puzzled look.
What separates Astro from Tonea's Brunch at Livadhi Beach or a morning coffee at Kafe Pasticeri 1928 is ambition. Tonea's does pancakes and smoothie bowls in a beach setting. 1928 is a century-old pastry institution serving trilece and baklava. Both are good at what they do. Astro is for when you want a composed, full-service brunch, the kind of menu that would work in any European city but happens to be in a small Albanian beach town.

What to order first time: the two plates carrying the house name are Astros Omelette (750 ALL) and Astros Bowl (550 ALL). Bowl my day (700 ALL) is the most elaborate thing on the card. It reads as a full composed platter rather than a single dish. Oat me up (500 ALL) is the cheapest item; Astros Bowl is the lightest.

What the card does not cover
The card photographed here runs Breakfast, Smoothies and Desserts only. Photographs from the venue also show an avocado toast with a fried egg, a caesar salad and a toasted sandwich with fries. There is clearly more food than this one card lists, most likely on a separate lunch card or a board. Cocktails, coffee and juices are not on it either, and no reliable price list for them exists outside the venue. Ask when you sit down.

The vibe and setting
Astro leans modern and clean, an urban bistro look transported to the Albanian coast, with a dark marble table surface, timber slats and steel mesh in the bar room. The card's own line about ingredients sourced from local farmers is the pitch, and the plates in the venue's photographs match it: whole vegetables, visible herbs, sourdough rather than sliced white.
There is a covered outdoor terrace under sailcloth and rattan pendants, with a wooded hillside behind, and the room reads very differently after dark, with violet tube lighting, caged filament lamps, and the COCTELERIA neon. Between the name, the bar and the account's rename to "Astro All Day Bar", the place plainly runs from breakfast into the evening rather than closing after the morning service.
Practical tips
Check Instagram before you go. No dependable opening hours are published for Astro anywhere. The one hours table in circulation comes from an auto-generated directory page and is not credible. @astro_brunch_cocktails is the venue's live channel and the only current signal.
Carry cash. Card acceptance is inconsistent across small Himara venues generally, and lek or euros in your pocket is the safe assumption anywhere on this coast.
Combine with a beach morning. Prinos Beach is the closest stretch of water at about 170 m, with Potami Beach a little beyond it; Spile Beach and the promenade are about 900 m, so allow 12-15 minutes on foot along the road. For Livadhi Beach, you're looking at a short drive.
Plan around the kitchen. These are composed plates, not counter service, so don't schedule it tight against a morning boat tour departure.
