Where it stands

Twenty metres of pavement

The building fronts the Lungomare, Himarë’s seafront walk, with a line of umbrella pines and then Spile Beach between it and the water — twenty metres of pavement, and then the Ionian. The centre of town is about fifty metres away, which puts the shops, the cafés and the buses on the national road inside a few minutes on foot.

It is the one thing every scoring system agrees about. Both booking channels rate the location 9.6 out of 10 — well above what either gives the hostel overall.

Getting here

Spile Beach seen from above: umbrella pines along the promenade, pale sand, turquoise shallows, moored boats and the headland
Spile Beach from the height of the building — pines, shingle, and the water going from turquoise to navy.
Two folding wooden chairs and a small table on a wrought-iron balcony, looking out over pines, the promenade and the sea at dusk
A balcony over the promenade: two chairs, a table, and the pines between you and the water.
