Himarë sits halfway down the Albanian Riviera, where the Ceraunian mountains drop into the Ionian. Spile is its seafront quarter — the strip of streets between the SH8 coast road and the water, below the old walled village on the ridge.

getting to himarë

Himarë is on the SH8, the coast road between Vlorë and Sarandë, and the buses along it stop in Spile. This site does not publish a timetable: Albanian coastal services change with the season and a printed departure time here would be wrong within weeks. The hostel lists a tours and travel desk — ask them.
