Times, policies, and the gaps

before you book

Everything below names the source it came from. Where two sources contradict each other, both are printed and neither is averaged away.

Check-in

15:0023:00

Booking.com. Hostelworld says the desk opens at 13:00 instead. Reception keeps limited hours either way.

Check-out

07:0011:00

Booking.com. Hostelworld gives the same 11:00 end, so the two agree on the part that matters.

Guest score

9.0/10

Booking.com, read off the property page. Its own word for that is “Wonderful”.

what is here

The hostel means the property’s own website says so. Listed means a booking channel does. Nothing appears here that neither did.

what was left out, and why

  • Rates.

They move week to week and they are correct on the channel, which is where they live. No price appears anywhere on this site.

  • A review count.

Not in any visible line. The only number of reviews on this site is inside the structured data, attached to the one score it belongs to.

  • A Hostelworld or Tripadvisor score.

Both platforms carry a listing for this house and both are linked in the footer. Neither headline figure could be read off the platform’s own page, so neither is published — and under no circumstances would they have been averaged with Booking.com’s.

  • Sea views, balconies, a kitchenette.

All three sit in a third-party dataset against this hostel. No channel lists any of them for this property and no photograph shows one, so they are treated as another listing’s facilities and dropped.

  • Bus times, and the name of anyone who works here.

Coastal services change with the season. As for names: a well-loved host’s name circulates in search results against this hostel and belongs to a different hostel in the same town. It is not printed here.

questions

Is breakfast really included?
Yes. The hostel's own site leads with it, and Booking.com and Hostelworld both list breakfast as free. It is laid out on the long table in the kitchen.
What time can I check in and out?
Booking.com gives check-in as 15:00 to 23:00 and check-out as 07:00 to 11:00. Hostelworld gives the same 11:00 check-out but says the desk opens at 13:00. Reception keeps limited hours, so tell them if you will arrive late.
Can I pitch a tent?
A tent is one of the six bookable types on Booking.com, and Hostelworld's listing says the hostel allows camping on the grounds. Book it like any other bed rather than turning up with one.
Are there private rooms, or only dorms?
Both. Two dormitory types, and three private types: a standard double with a shared bathroom, a deluxe double, and an apartment.
Is there a kitchen I can cook in?
Yes — a shared kitchen listed as fully equipped: fridge and freezer, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, tableware, pots and pans.
How far is the beach?
The two accounts differ. Booking.com's listing says 700 metres from Spile Beach, an 8-minute walk. The hostel's own listing text says a five-minute walk to the town centre and the nearest beach. Both are short; this site does not split the difference.
Is this the same place as Himara Downtown Hostel?
No. Himarë has several hostels with near-identical names — Himara Downtown Hostel, Himara Camping, Himara Relax Hostel, Natural Hostel, Oasis Hostel. This is Himara Hostel on Rruga Maria Dhimojani, the one whose own website is himarahostel.com.
Can I bring a dog?
Pets are listed as allowed on request. Ask before you book rather than after.
