Asked often
Questions
Is breakfast included?
Yes — breakfast is free, and it is one of the two facilities the listing leads with. It comes on a steel compartment tray: cut fruit, bread or a croissant, tomato and cucumber, egg and cheese, with tea or coffee.
What time can I check in and out?
Check-in runs 14:00 to 20:00 and check-out is until 11:00. Reception is open 08:00 to 23:00, and the hostel asks that you tell them roughly when you will arrive.
What rooms are there?
Four-bed and six-bed dormitories, and one private double room, which has no window. Every bed comes with a security locker, fresh linen and a towel. Three shared bathrooms serve the whole hostel.
Is there a kitchen?
There is a basic kitchenette, and guests are welcome to use it. It is a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen — worth knowing if you were planning to cook every night.
How far is the beach?
The hostel puts it at a minute's walk. Its own listing gives the distance to the town centre as 0.05 km, and the address is on the pedestrian street a few paces back from the front.
Are there rules about age, smoking or pets?
Guests must be 16 or over. The hostel is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. There is no curfew.
How do I pay?
On arrival, in cash. Taxes are included in the rate. Bookings cancelled more than 7 days before arrival are free; inside that, the full booking is charged.
Is this the same place as Himara Hostel?
No. Himarë has several hostels with near-identical names. This is Himara Downtown Hostel, at Pedestrian street 8 in Spile, the one whose sign is spelled out in yellow rope.
