What it is

Everything here was made out of something else

The bar is a run of salvaged planks. The tables are pallets. The stools were each painted a different colour. The hostel's own name is spelled out on a board in yellow rope. It is family-run, it is on the pedestrian street, and the water is a minute away.

Four- and six-bed dormitories and one private double, three shared bathrooms between them, a basic kitchenette, and a courtyard with a reed roof over it that is where everyone actually is. Breakfast is free and comes on a steel compartment tray.

The listing gives 0.05 km to the town centre and the hostel puts the beach at a minute’s walk. The Rruga Spile bus stop is about 85 m east, which is close enough that a backpack is the right luggage and a wheeled case is not.
