01 — The pool

Water first

The deck is cut into the hillside behind the building, so the pool sits in the sun with the maquis rising straight up behind it. A sheet of water falls off the stone wall at the deep end. Loungers, fringed parasols, pool towels and a bar on the deck.

Open seasonally, with the ground-floor terrace tables running along the building beside it.

02 — The table

Breakfast to cocktail hour

The kitchen is ours, not a concession. It runs Mediterranean, sushi and European through breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, high tea and cocktail hour — which is a long day, and the reason the dining room is as busy at eleven at night as it is at nine in the morning.

More about the restaurant
A plated dish of thinly sliced beef in a dark reduction with herbs and shaved cheese, a glass of red wine behind it, and the hotel's white restaurant menu with a gold foil wordmark to the right

03 — The beach

Four beaches inside half a kilometre

Prinos is the one at the bottom of the road, and we keep a private beach area on it with umbrellas and loungers. Everything else in central Himarë is a walk along the coast road rather than a drive.

04 — The rooms

Four types, thirty to fifty-four

Every one of them soundproofed, air-conditioned and stocked with a minibar. Most look out at the sea, the pool and the hill behind at once.

A marble-floored suite with a freestanding white bath in the foreground, a king bed under a quilted headboard beyond, a mustard armchair, a wall-mounted television and full-length drapes

Deluxe Suite with Sea View

51 m² · One king bed, and a sofa bed in the living room

The largest of the four and the only one that lists a balcony outright. Marble underfoot, a freestanding bath standing in the room rather than shut away in the bathroom, and a living room with its own sofa bed.

Deluxe Double or Twin Room

54 m² · Two twin beds, one king bed and a sofa bed

The widest floor plan in the house, made up so the beds can be split or put together. Timber-lined walls, a full-height padded headboard and reading sconces either side.

Double or Twin Room

40 m² · Two twin beds and one king bed

Two rooms opening into one another, twins on one side and a double on the other — the shape families ask for and the reason the house keeps connecting rooms.

See the room
A standard twin room with two single beds, a timber headboard panel, an abstract painting above, a desk with a mirror and telephone, and a curtained balcony door

Standard Twin Room

30 m² · Two twin beds

The plainest room and the one that still looks three ways — out to the sea, down over the pool, and up at the hill behind. A desk and mirror along the near wall.

07 — Questions

Before you book

Finding the hotel
How far is Sea View Hotel from the beach?

Prinos Beach is 100 metres from the door, and the hotel keeps a private beach area with umbrellas and loungers. Maracit Beach is 200 metres away, Spille Beach and the town promenade 400 metres, and Potam Beach 450 metres. All four are an easy walk along the coast road.

Does Sea View Hotel have a swimming pool?

Yes. There is an outdoor pool on a timber deck cut into the hillside, open seasonally, with a pool bar, sun loungers, parasols and pool towels. A sheet of water falls from the stone wall at the deep end, and the ground-floor terrace tables run along the building beside it.

What is there to eat at the hotel?

The hotel runs its own restaurant, serving Mediterranean, sushi and European dishes from breakfast through brunch, lunch, dinner, high tea and cocktail hour. Breakfast is served continental, Italian, American and full English or Irish. There is also a bar and room service.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in runs from 14:00 until midnight, and check-out from 08:00 until 11:00. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, so a late arrival is not a problem. Payment at the property is taken in cash.

How do I get to Himarë from the airport?

Tirana is the airport to plan around — Vlora is nearer but has no scheduled passenger service. From Tirana it is roughly four to five hours down the SH8 coast road. The hotel can arrange an airport transfer for a surcharge. Free private parking, a garage and an EV charging point are on site if you drive yourself.

Are the rooms sea-facing?

Most of the published room types list a sea view, and several list a pool and mountain view as well. The Deluxe Suite with Sea View is the only type that lists a balcony outright, so if a balcony matters, ask for it by name when you book.

Can I bring children or pets?

Children of all ages are welcome, and there are family rooms and connecting rooms. Children aged three and over are charged at the adult rate, cribs are subject to availability, and there are no extra beds. Pets are not allowed.

What languages does the front desk speak?

English, Albanian, German and French. The desk is staffed around the clock, and concierge, baggage storage and daily housekeeping run alongside it.
