The name on the sign, on the board and on the menu card — a burger bar standing on the beach at Spile, on the pedestrian promenade, with the water at the end of the tables.
Burger
The first word of the trade, and the one Obelix leads with everywhere it writes about itself. It comes to the table on a plate rather than folded into paper.
Meat portion
The other half of the grill: skewered meat sent out as a portion with bread and chips, rather than plated as a main.
Draft beer
Beer on tap, and bottles behind it — which is why the name puts beer before burger. It is the reason most tables stay on after the food has gone.
After the sun goes
The beach does not empty at seven.
The umbrellas come down, the festoon lights over the tables come on, and the taps keep running. It is the part of the day the name is built around — beer first, burger second. Whatever else is open in Himarë after dark is up on the front; this stays down on the beach.
