Livadh · Himarë · Albanian Riviera

The sea on one side.
The castle on the other.

The white and blush façade of Miamar Luxury Hotel behind its outdoor pool, palms and restaurant terrace at Livadh, Himarë

Miamar stands on the seafront at Livadhi, a modern building of white render, blush stucco and copper fins with its own stretch of beach in front of it. Two outdoor pools and a sun terrace lie between the doors and the water; the kitchen runs Mediterranean through the evening and a sushi counter under the open sky.

The table

Two kitchens, one sea

The dining room serves Italian and Mediterranean plates through the evening, glass and timber open to the terrace. Beside it the sushi lounge sets up under the sky — rolls, sashimi and the kitchen’s own fusion dishes, with the staff pouring to match. Mornings are a buffet.

The buffet breakfast at Miamar — cut watermelon, melon, berries, cherries and whole fruit on the service counter

The water

Two pools, then the beach

The hotel faces the seafront with a private beach area in front of it. Between the building and the shingle there are two outdoor pools and a sun terrace, laid out with loungers and umbrellas. Livadhi is a long, open bay, and the water goes deep blue within a few strides of the shore.
