From the garden the homes look alike. Inside they differ: the size, the ceiling, the floor, and whether the door opens onto an open porch or a glazed veranda.

How far is Essos Villas from Dhërmi Beach?

About 400 metres, around five minutes on foot. Hotel 2000, with its bar, restaurant and pizzeria, is 150 metres away and Yacht Bar 200 metres, so the beach, a table and a coffee are all within a short walk. Palasa Beach is 1.2 kilometres north and Gjipe Beach 4.9 kilometres south.

What is the difference between the three kinds of home?

The veranda rooms are 30 square metres and open onto a glazed veranda under a reed shade. The tiled homes and the vaulted homes are 50 square metres with an open porch and a balustrade; the vaulted ones have a white timber truss ceiling. Each sleeps four in a double and two singles.

Is Essos Villas the same place as Jonev Beach Villas?

Yes. Essos Villas is the same group of holiday homes on Rruga Megali Hora in Dhërmi that was listed as Jonev Beach Villas, and its Booking.com address still carries that name. The homes, the olive garden and the phone number are the same; only the name has changed.

Can I pay by card at Essos Villas?

No. Essos Villas takes cash only, paid at the property. Booking.com holds the reservation and the stay is settled at the homes, so bring euros or Albanian lek with you. The nearest bar and restaurant, Hotel 2000 and Yacht Bar, are a few minutes' walk away.

Is there parking at Essos Villas?

Yes. Parking is free and private, inside the grounds, and does not need to be reserved. The homes are on Rruga Megali Hora in Dhërmi, 400 metres from the beach. The grounds have 24-hour security, and free WiFi reaches every home and the garden.

Do the homes have a sea view?

Yes. All three listings face the sea over the olive trees of the garden, and the two 50-square-metre homes also look back to the mountains. Each home opens onto its own porch or glazed veranda, set with a table and chairs.

Are children welcome at Essos Villas?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome, and every home sleeps four in a double bed and two single beds. There are no cots or extra beds, so a family of five needs two homes. The garden has a lawn under the olive trees, a hammock and tables, and the car parks inside the grounds.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 14:00 until midnight, and the host asks to know your arrival time in advance. Check-out is between 06:00 and 10:00. Pets, parties and smoking inside the homes are not allowed. The host speaks Greek, English, Italian, Albanian and Turkish.
