Drymades · Dhërmi · Albanian Riviera

Six blue rooms above the olive groves of Drymades.

A 2018 house on the Perivolo road, run by its host, Romeo: teal walls, flowered headboards, patchwork-tiled bathrooms and, from the sea side, the Ionian over the cypresses.

Deep blue sea under a pale sky, seen over a slope of cypress and olive trees, an island low on the horizon
A bed made in white against a deep blue wall, its headboard printed with large blue and teal flowers
Grey louvred doors folded open onto a white terrace wall, olive trees and the sea beyond
A timber counter with teal bar stools under a striped awning, looking over trees and rooftops to the sea

The house

Drimades Blue Rooms is five rooms and an apartment in a white house in Lagjia Papreo, the quiet upper part of Drymades, about 1.4 km up the hill from Palasa Beach.

Inside it is modern and graphic rather than rustic: porcelain floors, a teal wall behind each bed, headboards printed with big blue flowers, hexagon shelves, louvred doors on the terraces. The beach is a short drive down. Up here there are olive trees and cypresses, the mountain behind, and on the sea side, the water beyond them.

The patchwork

No two squares alike

The bathroom walls are a patchwork of patterned tiles: stars, cubes, quatrefoils, octagons and lattices, mixed square by square, beside plain grey tile and white basins.

The squares drawn across this site are copied from those walls, one for each room.

The place

Up the Perivolo road

Lagjia Papreo is one of the quietest corners of Dhërmi, above the beach clubs on the slope behind Drymades. A car helps: the beaches, the old village and the tavernas are all a short drive away.

Questions

Before you write

How far is Drimades Blue Rooms from the beach?

Palasa Beach is about 1.4 km away and Dhërmi Beach about 1.8 km, by road. It is a few minutes by car down the Perivolo road, or roughly a quarter of an hour on foot going down. The walk back is uphill, so most guests drive.

How do I book a room at Drimades Blue Rooms?

Write to Romeo on WhatsApp at +355 69 607 4907 with your dates and the number of guests. The booking bar on this site writes that message for you: pick the dates, choose the guests and press Book now. You can also call the same number.

Which rooms have a sea view?

The Double Room with Balcony and Sea View, the Quadruple Room with Sea View and the Apartment with Terrace look over the olive and cypress slope to the sea. The Deluxe Double and the Triple with Balcony face the mountains, and the Standard Triple the garden and the hills.

Is there parking at Drimades Blue Rooms?

Yes. There is free private parking on site and street parking along the road. A car is useful here: the house is up the Perivolo road above Drymades, and the beaches, Dhërmi village and the restaurants are a short drive away.

Is there a kitchen?

The Apartment with Terrace has its own kitchen with an oven, a hob, a fridge, a kettle and a toaster, and a dining table. The rooms have a fridge and a minibar but no cooking, and there is no restaurant in the house; Dhërmi's tavernas are a short drive away.

Can I bring my dog?

Pets are allowed on request, and a charge may apply. Mention your dog when you write to Romeo with your dates, so the room can be arranged before you arrive. Smoking is not allowed indoors, and quiet hours run from 23:00 to 09:00.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 14:30 to 23:30 and check-out is by 10:00. Let Romeo know your arrival time in advance, on WhatsApp or by phone, so the room is ready when you reach the house. Baggage storage is available if you arrive early or leave late.

Is it quiet?

Yes. The house sits in Lagjia Papreo on the Perivolo road, one of the quietest corners of Dhërmi, away from the beach clubs. There are no parties, quiet hours run from 23:00 to 09:00, and the rooms are soundproofed.

How do I get to Drimades Blue Rooms from Vlorë airport?

Vlorë International Airport is about 64 km north. Take the SH8 coast road south over the Llogara Pass and down into Dhërmi, then turn up Rruga Perivolo in Drymades; the house is in Lagjia Papreo. The Google Maps pin on this site leads to the door.
