Wait ’n Sea stands on the Himarë–Livadh road, cut into the slope two kilometres above the water, with olives and holm oak below it and the whole coast laid out underneath. Thirteen room types, a balcony on most of them, and a marble corridor with the mountain still showing through the glass.

Two kilometres of hill

The hotel sits on the road that climbs from Himarë towards Livadh, high enough that the town, the beaches and the whole run of the bay are below it rather than around it. That is the trade: nothing is a walk, and everything is a view.

They kept the mountain and put glass in front of it

To stand here at all the building had to be dug into the hillside. The bare face that came out of that cut was never plastered over: it runs the length of a white marble corridor behind a glass rail, and in one room it is lit and framed above the bed like a window onto the hill itself.

Thirteen ways to sleep

How far is the beach?: Livadhi Beach is about 1.9 km away and Spile Beach about 2.4 km, both down the hill. Akuariumit, Maracit and Prinos follow at roughly 2.9, 3 and 3.5 km.
