The house

Limestone, pine and iron

The walls are rough limestone laid in white lime mortar, inside as well as out, and the roofs are pine under terracotta tile. Every balcony carries a wrought-iron rail. Downstairs the rooms open onto a long gallery under a timber roof; upstairs they are reached by granite stairs with an iron banister and look further out over the bay.

In front there is a lawn and a bed of roses, and the car can stay on site for free. Bora runs the house with her family, and Greek, English and Albanian are spoken.
