The family

Spiro and Dora.

The house is run by Spiro and Dora, who make the breakfast and look after the rooms. Between them they speak Albanian, Greek, English, Italian and French, and they know the village and the coast well enough to send you to the right beach and the right table for the evening.

Guests on Booking.com score the house 9.5 out of 10, exceptional, and the hosts themselves a perfect 10.0. On Google it holds 4.8 out of 5.

How far is Penelope Rooms from Dhërmi beach?

About 650 metres. Guests walk down to Dhërmi beach in ten to fifteen minutes, and the walk back up the hill is steep. Parking at the house is free and on site, with no need to reserve a space, so the car can stay at the house all week.

How do I book a room at Penelope Rooms?

Write or call the house on +355 67 490 5515 with your dates and how many of you there are; the Book now bar on this site writes that text message for you, with the dates already in it. Payment at the house is in cash, and children up to four stay in a free cot.

Is breakfast served at Penelope Rooms?

Yes. Breakfast is made at the house, and after the hosts it is the thing guests remember most. Say when you write about your dates that you would like breakfast, and how many of you will be eating, so the family can plan the morning.

Do the rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi?

Yes. Every room, the stone studio and each bedroom of the apartment has air conditioning and heating, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the house. Each has its own bathroom with towels and toiletries, a wardrobe and mosquito nets.

Is there a kitchen at Penelope Rooms?

No. None of the rooms and not the apartment has a kitchen, though rooms have a refrigerator and a table. In the garden there is a barbecue and the fire ring, an outdoor fireplace with benches round it, and Harmonia Restaurant is about 100 metres away.

Can a large family or group stay together?

Yes. The Superior Apartment is four bedrooms taken together, each with its own bathroom and balcony, sleeping up to ten in four large doubles and two singles. The family or triple room sleeps three, and a cot is free on request for children up to four.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 12:00 to 20:00 and check-out from 09:00 to 10:00. Let Spiro or Dora know your arrival time before you come, and bring a photo ID to show on arrival. Free parking is at the house, and luggage can be left there before check-in or after check-out.

Is Penelope Rooms quiet at night?

Yes. The house is up the hill from Dhërmi beach, in a garden of olive and fruit trees, away from the beach bars by the water. The house keeps quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00, and parties and stag or hen groups are not allowed.

Are pets allowed at Penelope Rooms?

No, pets are not allowed. Children of all ages are welcome, and a cot is free on request for children up to four years old. There are no extra beds, so a family of three takes the family or triple room, and larger families the apartment.
