That is the whole trick of the place. You swim to the lip, rest your arms on it, and Himarë is spread out two kilometres below — the bay, the town along it, the Ceraunian ridge closing the far side. The pool has no closing time, so the same view is there at midnight with the town lit up.
Loungers along the deck, an olive tree at the corner, and a stone terrace that runs back to the rooms. The sun sets into the sea from here, straight out and slightly to the right.

Come by car
The turning is off the SH8 between Himarë and Porto Palermo, and the track up is rough in its last stretch — it is a hill road, and it is worth taking slowly. Parking at the top is free, private and on site. Once you are up here the town is three minutes back down.

How far is the sea?
Filikuri Beach is directly below the hotel, about a fifteen-minute walk down. It is a cliff-bound cove, so most guests reach it by boat from Himarë rather than on foot. Potam Beach is 1.3 km away and Spile Beach in Himarë town is 2.1 km.
What is the road up like?
It climbs off the SH8 and the last stretch is rough. A car makes the difference, and parking on site is free and private. From the hotel it is about three minutes down into Himarë.
